VETERINARIANS

Christine Johnson DVM

Dr. Christine Johnson grew up in Clark County, Washington surrounded by many pets including cats, dogs and the neighbors horses.  She knew from a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian when she grew up. Christine graduated from Columbia River High School and got her bachelors of biology degree from University of Portland. She then chose to go to University College, Dublin, Ireland in 1991 to study veterinary medicine.   Christine returned to Clark County to practice small animal medicine and has worked here for 27 years.

Christine is the mother of 2 boys, the most amazing cat, a crazy but awesome poodle and two lovely sweet goats.  She enjoys gardening, traveling and simply being outdoors.  She and her family have lived in Ridgefield since 2008.

Mija Shattuck DVM

Dr. Mija Shattuck graduated from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Since then, she has been working in general practice caring for dogs and cats. For the first 8 years of her career, she volunteered for the Portland Animal Welfare Team (PAW Team) a local non-profit organization providing veterinary care for pets of people with unstable housing or financial need. She enjoys connecting with each one of her clients and their pets and is known for her caring and compassionate manner.

When she is not working, she is spending time with her husband Spencer, kitty Molina and Pomeranian Elliott. She also enjoys camping, fishing, and gardening. Dr. Shattuck is an avid sports fan and enjoys rooting for the Seattle Seahawks every Sunday.

I grew up in Rainer, OR and have always had a love for animals. I knew I wanted to be a vet med and in 2014 I started my career in the field as a kennel assistant.
